New Ark Launches Open-Architecture Acoustic Detection Platform, Enabling Partners to Build Branded C-UAS Systems

HONG KONG — September 1, 2026 — Hong Kong New Ark Intelligent Technology Limited (“New Ark”) today launched its Acoustic Detection Array, an open-architecture passive sensing platform that enables defense contractors and system integrators worldwide to design, assemble, and brand their own counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS). Rather than selling finished hardware, New Ark supplies the core acoustic processing module — a pre-engineered PCBA with embedded algorithms — allowing partners to integrate it into their own product lines.

 Closing the Low-Altitude Blind Zone

Over 85% of unauthorized drone incursions at critical infrastructure sites occur below 200 meters — an altitude band where radar suffers severe ground clutter, RF signals are blocked by buildings and terrain, and optical sensors fail in darkness or adverse weather. The platform’s core capability is fiber-optic-guided drone detection: these drones transmit video and control signals through a physical cable, producing no RF signature, rendering conventional RF detectors ineffective. However, propeller acoustic signatures are unavoidable, making passive acoustics the only viable detection method.

 Technical Capabilities

| Capability | Specification |

|—|—|

| Detection Range | Multirotor 500 m+ / Fixed-wing 5 km+ |

| Coverage | 120° per array; 360° with three arrays |

| Simultaneous Targets | 16+ per array; 48+ with three arrays |

| Channel Configurations | 64 / 128 / 192 |

| Operating Altitude | 3–200 m |

| Environmental | −30 °C to +65 °C, IP65 |

| Network Topology | Multi-node mesh, scalable to 16 arrays |

The platform employs beamforming and TDOA algorithms for multi-target detection. It includes an acoustic fingerprint library supporting multirotor, fixed-wing, and FPV classification, and provides TCP/IP and MQTT interfaces for integration with existing security platforms.

 Open Integration Model

– Core Module Supply: Pre-engineered PCBA modules with embedded algorithms, technical documentation, and reference designs. Partners handle assembly, branding, and distribution.

– Algorithm SDK & API: Full development toolkit with C/C++ and Python interfaces, supporting deep integration into sensor fusion stacks, RF detectors, radar, and electro-optical platforms.

– Technology Transfer: Comprehensive package including PCB Gerber files, BOM, assembly design, software licensing, and process guidance, enabling local or third-party production.

– Custom Algorithm Services: Partners provide acoustic datasets for scenario-specific optimization, while New Ark retains core algorithm IP.

This model is particularly suited to European and North American defense contractors and integrators seeking to incorporate best-in-class acoustic sensing without surrendering product control. New Ark welcomes partners worldwide, with no geographic restrictions on technology access.

 Global Partner Program

New Ark recruits technology partners and system integrators globally, offering brand licensing, channel price protection, technical training and certification, pre-sales engineering support, three-year warranty, and joint marketing. Regional exclusive arrangements may be established upon mutual assessment.
